From
Rt. 9 Northbound
Get off
at the Main St. exit, just past the Mid-Hudson Bridge exit. Turn right at the
stop at end of ramp. Go up the hill on Main St. ¼ mile (5
lights), and turn left onto Market St.. Civic Center will be on the left next
to the Grand Hotel, with a large parking garage on the right.
From
I-84 (Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Newburgh area)
If going
eastbound, get off at exit 13, and turn left onto Rt. 9 north. If going
westbound, get off at exit 13N, and turn rt. onto Rt. 9 north. Follow Rt. 9
approximately 12 miles, and follow Rt. 9 northbound directions above.
From
I-87/NY Thruway
Get off
at exit 18/New Paltz. After paying toll, turn right at the light onto Rt. 299
eastbound. Proceed to end, and turn rt. at light onto Rt. 9W. Follow
approximately 4-5 miles to the Mid-Hudson Bridge (Rt. 44/55 East) exit. After
crossing the bridge, at the 3rd light turn left onto Market St. Go 2
½ blocks and the Civic Center will be on your left next to the Grand Hotel.
From
the Taconic Parkway (No commercial vehicles or trailers)
Get off
at the Rt. 55 West/ Poughkeepsie exit. As you get closer to Poughkeepsie, Rt 55
will merge with Rt. 44, and become 3 lanes. As you reach the downtown area,
stay left, and watch for the Grand Hotel on the left. Rt. 55/44 curves around
behind the hotel- at the next light turn left onto Main St., and then left again
at the next light onto Market St. The Civic Center will be on the left.
Parking
Between
the Civic Center and the Grand Hotel (on the left as you proceed on Market St.)
is the entrance to a covered parking garage that is shared by both facilities.
There should be plenty of room in that lot in the morning, but it may fill after
1pm. If it is full, there is another covered multi-story parking lot on the
right across the street just a little bit futher down Market St.. Please do NOT
use the small open lot on the right side of Market St., as that is reserved for
larger vendor vehicles that cannot fit in the parking garage.
Parking
Fee is $1.50 for the day- take a ticket as you enter, and pay as you leave.
Train
Train
service is available on the Metro North railroad out of Grand Central Station in
Manhattan. From the Poughkeepsie train station, walk approximately 6-7 blocks
up Main St., and turn rt. onto Market St. The Civic Center will be on the left
